The institution aims to uplift the status of rural community by providing technical education with consistent performance in keeping with national standards. It is further aimed for environmental protection through a clean and green environment in the institution and conduct of programmes for the development of communication and life skills for better future of student community.
Mission
Government Polytechnic College, Cheyyar earnestly aspires to offer non-formal, tailor-made and employment-oriented Continuing Education Programs to the needy at an affordable cost. It also aims to meet the ever changing expectations of industry and community by providing latest infrastructure to the laboratories and inculcating entrepreneurial concept, moral and ethical values in the minds of students. The Polytechnic College strives hard to enhance the employability of students by establishing links with leading organizations.
Mandate
Government Polytechnic College, Cheyyar, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi is permitted to offer three year, full-time Diploma programs in prescribed norms. The Polytechnic College is expected to follow the curriculum and evaluation system stipulated by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai.
